Pirate Roberts Coin in Solid Copper
Take no prisoners...
The Golden Age of Piracy saw the rise of The Great Pyrate, Bartholomew Roberts. A scourge of the Atlantic, Roberts and his crew terrorized hundreds of ships aboard the Royal Fortune. One only had to glimpse the infamous Jolly Roger flag and a dash of scarlet coattails on the ocean's horizon to know that they were next.
☠ Solid copper
☠ 8.2 grams
☠ 2.4 centimeters in diameter
Though "Black Bart" Roberts never minted any of his own doubloons, we like to think this Pirate Robert Copper coin comes pretty close! Its design is struck in very high relief, so no sailor will ever overlook the grisly visage it depicts.
This coin is treated to look as if it has been handled and circulated between many pirates' treasure chests. This process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science. Coloring and patinas will vary. No two coins are exactly the same! Coins are struck in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. A colorful description is included with history and facts about the coin.
