- Made in Imladris™ during the rule of Elrond™, this coin depicts the valley of Rivendell and the two ancient trees of gold and silver.
- Nickel silver.
Lake-town™ 2-Ducat • Lake-town
- Featuring the Master of Lake-town, this coin was made a few years before the town was destroyed by the dragon Smaug in TA 2941.
- Nickel silver.
The Shire™ Half-Crown • The Shire
- This golden Half-Crown features a lovely chestnut tree. The text describes the denomination and, "Shire, Abode of the Hobbits." - Minted in Shire Year 1402 (TA 3002), the year that Bilbo settled in Rivendell.
- Brass.
Iron Mûmak™ • Harad™
- Inscription reads "Palan Harad", meaning Far Harad. Features a battle ready Mûmak, called an Oliphaunt™ by Hobbits.

Red Hand of Saruman™ • Isengard™
- Minted in Isengard. Surrounding the tower and bird are the words Yzan Gaarda. On the reverse, around the hand, are inscribed the words “Hand of the Old Man” in Dunlandish.

The coins in this set from the world of J. R. R. Tolkien are struck from solid copper, brass, iron and nickel silver, measure 2 to 3.1 cm in diameter, and weigh 2.7 to 13.2 grams. Our Process
Shire Post Mint coins are struck one at a time in West Fork, Arkansas, USA using solid metals, hand-engraved designs, antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. For antiqued coins, the coloring/patina process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science so coins will vary slightly. Our unique packaging includes a description of each coin and translations if applicable.

It’s very cool to be able to hold these real examples of what these incredibly well designed and minted “coins of the realm” may have looked and felt like during the stories in which they’re based. Totally high quality with a seemingly infinite amount of detail on each - highly recommended!
Our two grandsons, ages 18 and 20, are obsessed with the coins. They said they were beautifully made, great detail and a nice weight. I’m very pleased with the customer service from this company. They went above and beyond helping with an order that was delayed. Great company!

Great overall and was very pleased with the product and its presentation but I don’t think serious fingerprint stains match the depiction of a Rivendell silver moon coin. Otherwise this product was good.

We recommend using a bit of isopropyl alcohol on terry cloth to clean nickel silver with - it should work great on our fingerprint. Nickel silver isn't as prone to corrosion as pure silver. But if you are still not 100% with the coin we are very happy to replace it, just send a message via our contact us link and reference order 58067.
