Our Process
Shire Post Mint coins are struck one at a time in West Fork, Arkansas, USA using solid metals, hand-engraved designs, antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. For antiqued coins, the coloring/patina process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science so coins will vary slightly. Our unique packaging includes a description of each coin and translations if applicable.

I really love this coin, I take it on walks and it keeps me focused on moving forward.
I have very acidic hands which have worn the finish off over time. In a particularly stressful situation, I've found my hands to have turned black from the finish. A quick wash solves the issue, but I recommend the unfinished coin if you have the same issue with very acidic hands.
You can seal the coin regularly using wax or oil, and potentially avoid having the finish come off - check out our 'Coin Care Guide' linked from the bottom of our website pages - Glad you like it otherwise.
I had some concerns about the size but they truly do feel great in the hand, just the right density that you can immediately tell if you are carrying it and which pocket it is in, I purchased two and rubbing the two together makes a unique sound that is pleasing as well. Perfect for Stiming or just a general fiddle toy, while also holding some value as a precious metal.
I bought this for my wife, she loves it and uses it at work between clients to fidget.. said she finds her self snacking less too..
