In Norse mythology, Skaði is a jötunn and goddess of archery, skiing, winter, and mountains. She is also known for challenging the gods of Asgard after the killing of her father, Thiazi. Skaði took up arms and armor and demanded compensation from the gods.
The Vegvísir, or Norse compass, is an Icelandic magical stave, which, according to the Huld manuscript, protects one from losing their way in bad weather.
Encircling the Vegvísir is the runic transliteration of the Icelandic phrase, "Ég stoppar ekki Þegar Þreyttur, ég stoppar Þegar ég er búinn", which translates to, "I do not stop when tired, I stop when done."

Our Process
Shire Post Mint coins are struck one at a time in West Fork, Arkansas, USA using solid metals, hand-engraved designs, antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. For antiqued coins, the coloring/patina process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science so coins will vary slightly. Our unique packaging includes a description of each coin and translations if applicable.
